OUR JOURNEY

Sound Phantom™ was founding January 2022, as an innovative green-tech startup focused on developing safety  solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles.  The "BIG" idea started with the Founder's frustrations with the purchase of his first EV.

Shortly after taking delivery of his EV, he realized how often people would walk in front of his vehicle.  Or, become startled as he approached them in parking lots or crosswalks.  The car was too quiet to co-exist in a high pedestrian environment.

He also realized the pain caused by missing the soundtrack of sweet exhaust notes that usually accompany a high performance vehicle.  Derived from these two pain points our diverse talented group of designers and engineers developed our premier synthetic exhaust system...Harken.

OUR MISSION

Redefining the Way
We Move

We are an emerging leader in technology development for electric high-performance vehicles.  Sound Phantom™ was started after the Founder, Kevin Stormer, purchased his first high-performance electric vehicle which was quiet as a mouse!  It seemed such a shame with all the technology included in his EV.  Kevin soon discovered his vehicle was missing an appropriate exhaust note befitting of so many high-performance vehicles.

Sound Phantom™ is headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  At our headquarters, we conduct product research and development.

Our Journey So Far

October 2021

THE SEED WAS PLANTED

The Founder took delivery of his first electric vehicle purchase.  Excited about experiencing electrification for the first time, he realized one of the key stimuli from driving was missing.  Sound. Without sound the natural experience of driving an advanced technology high performance vehicle propelled him to find a solution.
